Colour Edit → Style Map → Final Layer
The Colour Edit
Foundational clarity
For many clients, this is where the work begins.
The Colour Edit is designed for moments when decisions feel uncertain — when colour, finishes or materials feel unresolved and you want clarity before moving forward.
This focused consultation establishes the foundational colour direction for the home, ensuring paint, finishes and materials work together with confidence.
Rather than adding more options, the aim is to reduce noise and create a clear starting point so the home begins to feel balanced and cohesive.
The Colour Edit is suited to new builds, renovations and existing homes where things no longer feel cohesive.
Consultation time: up to 90 minutes.
A Colour Edit is often booked before painting, before builder selections, or when finishes need to be brought back into alignment.

The Style Map
Direction and planning
For clients who need clarity and a way forward.
The Style Map provides clear design direction for the home, establishing the palette, spatial flow and key finishes so decisions feel calm and cohesive.
This stage brings structure to the many decisions involved in shaping a home and creates a clear design plan that guides the project forward.
The Style Map may include guidance on layout planning, cabinetry direction, finishes, materials and lighting considerations.
The Style Map maps the way forward.

The Final Layer
Where a house becomes a home.
For clients ready to bring everything together.
The Final Layer brings warmth, personality and visual balance into the space once the foundations and direction are established.
This stage focuses on the elements that transform a house into a home — furniture, artwork, lighting, rugs and objects that create depth and character.
Through thoughtful selection and placement, the home begins to feel layered, cohesive and lived in.
The Final Layer is where the home is gently completed.

Builder & Commercial Projects
Louise Tait Design also collaborates with builders and developers on selected display homes and commercial projects.
These engagements focus on establishing a clear and cohesive finish direction so spaces present beautifully and align with the broader vision of the project.
This may include palette development, cabinetry layout guidance, lighting direction and overall material coordination.
Commercial projects are quoted individually based on scope.
